Terms and Conditions
These terms explain the rules for using ORYNT’s open-source discovery, submission, community, and membership services.
Effective October 15, 20261. Agreement
By creating an account or using ORYNT, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
2. What ORYNT provides
ORYNT helps people discover publicly available open-source repositories. Search rankings, categories, summaries, votes, and recommendations are informational discovery tools. ORYNT does not host repository source code and does not guarantee that a repository is suitable, secure, maintained, or correctly licensed for your use.
3. GitHub accounts, submissions, and ownership
Authentication is provided through GitHub. You are responsible for your GitHub account and activity performed through it. A signed-in user may submit any public GitHub repository for discovery, whether or not they own it. You confirm that the listing information you provide is accurate and that your submission is lawful and not misleading.
A submission does not grant management rights. Repositories submitted by someone other than a verified owner or manager are labeled as community submitted, and ORYNT may publicly credit the submitting account as the discoverer. When the owner of a personal repository signs in, ORYNT may match the stable GitHub account identifier and add the existing listing to that owner’s account. Organization owners and other maintainers may be required to complete a temporary public-file verification challenge. Only verified managers may edit, refresh, respond to reports for, or unlist a repository.
4. Listings and community activity
You may provide listing titles, descriptions, categories, keywords, votes, bookmarks, comments, replies, collection titles and notes, reports, feature suggestions, and ownership-verification information. Do not submit unlawful, deceptive, malicious, infringing, abusive, harassing, inappropriate, or spam content; falsely claim ownership or management authority; or interfere with another user’s attribution or verified management rights. ORYNT may correct, hide, reject, unlist, or remove listings and community activity to protect users, enforce these Terms, or comply with law. Unlisting a repository may preserve attribution, moderation, ownership, and activity history.
Verified repository managers may pin useful discussion comments but cannot delete or hide another user’s criticism. Comment and collection reports are reviewed by ORYNT moderators. Authors may edit or delete their own comments, while limited records may be retained for moderation, safety, and dispute handling.
5. Open-source licenses
Each repository remains subject to its own license and terms. A listing on ORYNT does not grant you rights to use a project. You are responsible for reviewing the repository’s license, dependencies, security, and attribution requirements before using it.
6. Membership and billing
Paid membership unlocks the full search result set, saved listings, repository discussions, replies, grouped discussion notifications, and private or public repository collections; discovery filters remain available without payment. Public collection pages can be viewed while their owner keeps them published. The owner may unpublish a collection at any time, after which its public link stops working. Payments and the customer billing portal are provided by Polar. Monthly membership is billed at the price shown at checkout. Yearly membership is normally $29.99 per year. Eligible launch customers who receive the founding discount are billed $14.99 per year while that discounted subscription remains active, subject to the discount terms shown at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can manage or cancel through the Polar customer portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period unless the checkout or applicable law states otherwise. Taxes, refunds, and payment disputes are handled according to the checkout terms and applicable law.
7. Acceptable use
You may not interfere with ORYNT, bypass access controls, scrape the service at harmful volume, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, impersonate others, manipulate rankings, automate fake votes, or use the service to distribute malware or violate third-party rights.
8. Availability and changes
ORYNT may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service useful and available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Preview limits, ranking methods, categories, and membership features may evolve.
9. Disclaimers and liability
ORYNT is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ORYNT is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss caused by third-party repositories or services.
10. Termination and contact
You may stop using ORYNT at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for violations, security risks, legal requirements, or service protection. Provisions that should survive termination will continue to apply. For legal questions, contact the ORYNT operator through the support contact shown in your account, Polar purchase receipt, or the product’s published support channel.
