Cookies

Cookie Policy

A plain-language explanation of the storage ORYNT currently uses and why it is necessary.

Effective October 9, 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text values stored by your browser and returned to a website with later requests. Similar browser storage, such as local storage, can remember a preference without being sent with every request.

2. Essential sign-in cookies

ORYNT and Supabase use essential cookies to complete GitHub sign-in, maintain your authenticated session, refresh it securely, and protect account requests. These cookies are necessary to provide the sign-in and account features you request. Their duration varies: some last only for the sign-in flow or browser session, while session-refresh cookies can remain longer so you stay signed in.

3. Notice preference

When you dismiss ORYNT's cookie notice, the browser stores that preference locally so the notice does not reappear on every page. This preference does not track you across websites and is used only to remember your choice.

4. What we do not use

ORYNT does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or optional analytics cookies. Because only storage necessary to deliver requested features is used, the notice explains that use instead of presenting a misleading advertising-cookie consent choice.

5. Your controls

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Removing authentication cookies signs you out, and removing the notice preference makes the notice appear again. Blocking essential cookies may prevent GitHub sign-in and account features from working.

6. Future changes

If ORYNT introduces optional analytics, advertising, or similar non-essential storage, we will update this policy and provide controls that obtain any consent required before those technologies are activated.
