Frequently asked
The essentials about listings, access, rankings, and the founding membership.
ORYNT is a discovery and collection platform for useful public GitHub repositories. People can list public projects for the community to search, vote on, save, share, and report, while verified owners manage their listings.
Any signed-in user can list a public GitHub repository. If it is not yours, the listing is marked Community submitted and credits you as the discoverer, but it does not give you editing or removal permission. Duplicate repositories are linked to the existing listing instead of being published twice.
Sign in with the personal GitHub account that owns it and ORYNT will match GitHub’s stable account ID and add the listing to Your Listings. Organization owners and other maintainers can claim management by completing a short-lived verification-file challenge.
A free account includes every discovery filter, the top three matches per search, the top ten Today, Week, and Month rankings, repository submissions, voting, reporting, and sharing. Paid membership unlocks the complete search result set and your saved-project workspace.
No. Join the yearly plan during the first 90 days of launch and you pay $14.99 at checkout, then only $14.99 once every year on renewal for as long as that subscription remains active. It does not change to the standard $29.99 yearly price.
ORYNT ranks projects using period activity rather than lifetime upvotes alone. Votes, freshness, and saves contribute to a time-decayed score so useful new projects can surface without old listings dominating forever.
GitHub metadata is synchronized regularly, while community reports flag spam, unsafe code, duplicates, misleading information, unavailable repositories, and other concerns for moderation.
